Sandra Lynn has always loved art and has created with her hands since she was a small child. She studied drafting and airbrush at Pierce Jr. College in Woodland Hills, CA and studied the fine arts at Modesto Jr. College. Sandra became an illustrator at the age of 19, and has over 30 years experience as a Technical Illustrator/Graphic Designer in the aerospace industry. Her main focus was on airbrush illustrations, poster display areas, conference materials, and broshures. She was awarded six STC (Society for Technical Communications) awards in 1998; with two going to the International competition, one of which won the International Award of Merit. Sandra received another STC Award of Excellence, before leaving her full-time job in 1999. Sandra is currently self employed. As a fine artist, she works in watercolors, acrylics, and pastels. Sandra also does costume design and custom seamstress work, with an emphasis in renaissance clothing and belly dance costumes. Sandra Lynn was a featured artist in the Modesto Bee in February of 2009. Sandra exhibits her work locally at the Modesto Third Thursday Art Walk, and at several local restaurants. “I have always loved the arts and my illustration background shows in my work.
